Richard Hand was an open scholar at the Royal Academy of Music where he won the Julian Bream Prize and the String Players' Award. He has premiered more than fifty works and has broadcast and toured internationally - despite the best efforts of the secret police, persistent spiders, rioting crowds and rampaging hippos.
